BOOK 4: EARLY INTERMEDIATE TO INTERMEDIATE
Highlights:
More work on D, A, and B Flat Major, and G minor. New keys of C minor, E flat major, B minor, and E major.
First Bach Little Preludes and Anna Magdalena selections, as well as Mozart Minuets.
Romantic character pieces selected to develop multiple voicing and artistry.
More complex Rh-LH coordination.
Etudes to prepare students for intermediate playing.
Multiple pieces teaching the same concepts are included in each book, with the intention of providing a wide array of material per level. This is perfect for larger studios or simply to have a surplus of pieces for “on-your-own” reading assignments, and for a thorough exploration of each critical concept. The smooth progression also makes it ideal for adult students and self learners.
The series is a valuable resource for teachers that need a more systematic way to introduce piano repertoire. It is also a practical all-in-one literature solution; a well paced approach in which reading and rhythm concepts, as well as technique and artistry are developed steadily. Particular attention has been given to include proven repertoire that develops the hands equally, teaches counterpoint gradually and develops finger dexterity and independence.
Each level includes standard teaching favorites alongside freshly discovered masterpieces. The selections are preserved in their original form, but fingered, edited and designed specifically for the late elementary to later intermediate student.
